Blog Your Heart Out Tag :)

at 17:32 0 comments
A while ago, I got tagged by the lovely Jade from RottenRedCherry, and I kinda forgot... Sorry Jade!... Anyway, I hope you enjoy my post :P

1.Who/what encouraged you to start blogging?
I think that Zoella inspired me to start my blog. I've loved her blog and Youtube channel for a long time, and I always thought that blogging looked like great fun :)

2. How did you choose what topics to blog about?
This is a bit of a hard one. When I started my blog, I didn't have a topic. I just blogged about things that were happening in my life or I ranted about Instagram. When my audience started to grow, I decided on doing a beauty blog with some fashion and lifestyle too.

3. What is something most people don't know about you?
Most people I'm friends with know everything about me. Honestly my blog is my secret. It may sound stupid but I just wanted something to work on without my friends and family talking about it all the time. I guess I'll have to tell everyone at some point, but hopefully not now.

4. What three words describe your style?
Casual, cute and what-all-my-friends-are-wearing. Might not be three words, but it definitely describes my style. As I'm a teenager, I'm usually wearing shorts and hoodies and jeans, but I really love wearing dresses. I have too many dresses...

5. What do you love doing when you are not blogging?
When I'm not blogging, I'm either listening or playing music. Currently I play guitar and flute, and coincidently, I'm getting a ukelele tomorrow :) I've just always loved the sound of the ukelele, and I'm going to pick up the piano again in September. I played it when I was seven or eight, but I didn't enjoy it. Hopefully I'll like it better this time :)

Let's Talk Blog Challenge | #1 Day In The Life | Harry Potter Studio Tour

I'm so excited to be participating in this blog challenge hosted by the lovely Sarah Hamersley from At The Beauty Desk Posts are up every Monday, so make sure to check back on my blog at 8 o'clock :)

On the 23rd of April I went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in Watford :) The tour was amazing! It's a kind of thing that you could go and see again and again without getting bored of it.

-♥-♥-♥

It was absolutely amazing to see 'The Cupboard Under The Stairs'. I have actually spent a great deal of my life wanting to live in it. It may sound weird but I like small bedrooms with barely enough room for a bed, even though I'm sometimes claustrophobic. I think I'd get a panic attack if anyone else was in there with me though!

Olllivanders is one of my favourite shops on Diagon Alley. I just love the bay-ish windows and the piles of wand boxes on the windowsills. It felt amazing walking down Diagon Alley, knowing that many famous actors and actresses have walked here, and that parts of your favourite movie series were filmed right where you're standing.

Yes, that is one of the owls that played Hedwig, I'm afraid I can't remember what his name is though :P He's just sooo cute! The whole time I was outside at the backlot part of the tour, he stayed on the sign for Privet Drive, calm and silent.

This is the house Lily and James Potter were killed in. The house is so eerie and mysterious, and it's definitely desolate and decrepit looking too. The house is exactly how I always imagined it would  be when I read the books, and I commend the designers and builders  that made it look so perfect :)

The Knight Bus! I have always loved the Knight Bus, and The Prisoner Of Azkaban is one of my favourite movies. The Knight Bus is in really good condition and looks so cool from the outside. Sadly, you're not allowed to go into the bus, but anyways, it's really awesome to get your picture taken beside it :)

I don't honestly have a house that I should be sorted into if Hogwarts was real. I have traits from Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and even Slytherin. I guess Gryffindor is my favourite though, as many of my x characters were sorted into it :P

A beautiful model of Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry is the very last thing you see on the tour. It's a great ending to a brilliant and the castle is just so spellbinding and breathtaking. When filming the Harry Potter movies, some of the scenes around Hogwarts were made using the model, and the actors and actresses acted on front of a green-screen and those scenes were edited together to make it look like they were outside the castle itself (What a long sentence :P).

I hope you enjoyed reading about my day in absoulute PotterLand, and I can't wait to continue with this challenge :)

Looking Out The Window

at 13:44 0 comments

The weather today was just perfect. The sun was shining and there was very little clouds below us during our flight. I managed to get a few photos of Dun Laoighre before we started to fly over the Irish Sea.

The British countryside is beautiful. I whipped my iPhone out of my pocket as soon as we began to fly I've Britain. The fields and meadows were a luscious green and the rapeseed crops were bright yellow. It was amazing to have such a great birds-eye view of the land.

After a while the plane started flying over towns and villages, and I must say the architecture was simply amazing. The houses and buildings were storybook, fairy-tail and picture perfect. I love the look of the country houses too. They looked adorable from the height :)

There were even more lovely fields on our way into London, and honestly all I did on the journey was sit in the little London taxi and stare out the window.

I found this sign pretty amusing :) If you didn't know, London taxi drivers are required to know certain geographical information about the city of London. Well, that's what Wikipedia says anyway :P

I think I may have forgotten how lovely London is. I'm staying near Holborn. It's quite quiet at night and it is such a short walk to Covent garden.

So, that was just a brief round up of what I saw through windows :) Make sure to keep checking back to see what else I've been doing in one of my favourite cities in the world.

March 2014 Favourites

I've never done a monthly favourites blog post and I'm really excited to be doing this for the first time. Don't forget to comment what you have loved this March :)

Simple Moisturizer

I have been loving this moisturizer since I got it for Christmas.  It leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean, and there is no nasty chemicals or perfumes to harm or irritate my sensitive skin. If you want to see a full review and comparison, click here.

Rimmel Colour Rush Balm

I really don't like the feeling of lipstick on my lips, but I still love playing around with lip colour. Rimmel Colour Rush Balm really solved my problems. I have it in the colour 'Keep Mauving', which is a really lovely deep pinkish-red. The moisture lasts for at least an hour, and the colour takes a long time to fade even a small bit. I'd really recommend this to anyone with dry lips.

Aussie Take The Heat Leave In Spray

When using heat on your hair, it's best to use a heat protecting spray. I love the smell of this spray. It has a fresh, clean smell that somehow reminds me of bubblegum, and it doesn't leave your hair sticky. The Aussie spray contains natural oils that nourish and
protect your hair.

Maybelline SuperStay 24hr Foundation

My skin gets dry in the summer, and I can't use mousse foundation, as it doesn't glide well over dry skin. I read  really good things about this foundation on other blogs, so I went out and bought it. I like to mix it with moisturizer if I don't need much coverage, but it works brilliantly on its own too. More on this product later :)

Cadbury DairyMilk Bubbly

I think I might love this chocolate a bit too much. It has the perfect level of bubbly-ness, somewhere between normal chocolate and Aero. I find that Aero bars are mostly air, but DairyMilk Bubbly is not like that. They make them in full milk chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate and also milk chocolate as mint. My favourite has to be the milk chocolate and white chocolate :) I can't explain how nice it is!

Nina Nesbitt Peroxide Album

This album was mentioned in the guest post done by Tooty Fruity - Click here - and I love it. Nina Nesbitt is a young Scottish singer/songwriter, who has just released he debut album Peroixde. It's brilliant! There's fast songs, slow songs and a cover of 'Don't Stop'- which I adore. I would recommend this album to everyone, so have a listen over the Easter :)

So that is it! I hope you like these things as much as I do, and I'd love if you could give them a try :)

Things Are Looking Up

at 00:24 0 comments

2013 was not a great year for me. I was offered so many opportunities, but I didn't get accepted into any of them. My New Years resolution was to be optimistic, and stop being so negative about everything. I think it's been working :)

2013 started of pretty well for me. My cousin had a baby on Christmas Eve, and I saw her for the first time in February 2013. From April things started going a bit downhill. I started getting more tests and more work in school, and I started getting a small bit stressed. I began to do worse in those tests, and as the month went on, my average was down from 96% to 85% (Still an A but you can see the difference). The next few months didn't get any better. I was still worrying and I started having panic attacks, but worse still i didn't know what they were until December. I had an un-eventful summer and everything seemed okay. In September my scores were getting as high as 92%, but still a bit off where I was at that time in 2012. This is when I auditioned for a pantomime. It sounds silly but I've always fancied a career in the performing arts, and I had a great time at the audition. I didn't get in. That was a huge disappointment, and it really damaged my self-esteem and my hopes of being an actress. Then in November I applied for something else (to do with music) and I didn't get accepted. I had no confidence left by then, and I decided that I'd never make it as a singer or an actress, and I gave up for a while. I started my blog in late December to give myself something to do and something to wake up and be happy about. This has worked and I can't believe all that I've accomplished in 2014 so far :)

I have gained over 400 followers in the space of a few months, and I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for every single one of you. I have been getting better marks in school (I'm now back to a good 96%), and I've just been having a better year altogether.

This was probably the most boring blog post I've ever written, but I just wanted to let you know that because of this blog, because of every single follower, my life has changed for the better.

I know there's been a severe lack of posts recently, but I'm working on a top secret super exciting project :)

Thanks for reading!
