Primark Make-up Haul

at 17:52 0 comments
I was in Penney's last week and they happened to have a good amount of their Essence brand make-up in stock. I love Essence, as it's cheap and reasonably good value.

1. Essence Mattifying Compact Powder in Light Beige.
This compact powder is really mattifying and light, and as you can see from the colossal dent in it already, I'm a fan!

2. Essence All About Matt! Oil-Free Make-Up in Matt Beige
Like the compact powder, this BB Cream/Foundation is extremely mattifying, light and you can easily blend it with other colours to create your ideal tone.

3. Essence Pure Skin Anti-Spot Compact Powder in Beige (Starting to see a pattern here?)
The best of the lot. Barely any compact powders can fight spots and black heads. At first it kinda scared me, as it includes zinc... but I got over it! This is definitely a winner.

4. Essence Blush Brush
It's everything a brush should be. The diagonal soft bristles help loads when you're contouring.

5. Essence Eyeliner Pen
I love this eyeliner. It stays on all day and is quite water-proof, though it's easy to remove with eye make-up remover.

Sorry for the horrible pictures- You can tell I'm not a great photographer :D
Camera- Nikon Coolpix S3500

Love and Kisses, Elle.

I have spent a good three hours today learning how to customize and perfect my blog, and it's definitely payed off!
As for upcoming events... I'm going to Ed Sheeran in October! I don't like 1D, but even though Ed Sheeran wrote loads of their songs, I'm still a Sheerio.
When I'm in London,  I'll be staying near Covent Garden, so if there's anywhere you want me to go and take pictures of, I'll try to go there and post the pictures on here. If you want to request something, e-mail me by pressing the email button on my blog page, or you can comment down below :D

Being That Ginger In The Room

at 19:48 0 comments
I have strawberry blonde hair, and, like most people with red hair, I was teased through school. There is no real reason for people with red hair to be picked on, it just seems that society likes to torment anyone who's different. That needs to change. All of the ginger hate through my life made me feel quite depressed, but in my situation, everything worked out just fine.

Irish people tend to be very nice (not to boast XD) though children can still, like a lot of children, be... Ugh, you know...

Primary school was the worst (First 8 years of school from age 4/5 to 12/13). Most kids would look at me or say 'why do you have such wierd hair?'. It happens to many people, as 10% of Irish people have red hair. I wasn't utterly uncool (poor me), and I wasn't bullied by my more popular classmates, it was usually the rejects (Sorry!) that just wanted to annoy someone to make them feel better about themselves.

Secondary school got better (Next 6 years of school from age 12/13 to age 18/19- before uni/college), as almost everyone had grown out of their childishness- if that's a word :P- and had become more understanding, and realized that you can't help what you're born with and it's not your fault.

I've grown to accept my flaming red hair, and I have even started to receive compliments about my hair colour.

Brooklyn Nine Nine

at 20:44 0 comments
Brooklyn Nine Nine is quickly becoming one of my favourite TV shows, along with How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family.

I think the concept that the main character (and the best dectective) is utterly stupid, to say the least. The several Golden Globes the show won are well deserved.

I've always liked murder mysteries and CSI shows -and I'm quite partial to Sit-Coms too- Brooklyn Nine Nine crosses the two genres together wonderfully.

If you've noticed a lack of blog posts recently, it's because I've been quite sick :( I'm feeling better now anyways!!!

Are Uggs Really Worth The Pricetag?

at 19:27 0 comments
Short answer- Yes.

I've had my Uggs for well over a year now, and though my foot has grown from a four to a five, they still fit me. I've had to wear my Uggs with thick socks for a day to stretch them, but it's a small price to pay.

My Uggs are the 'Short Classic' in Chocolate. If you know what Uggs you want to buy, and are about to go into town to buy some, beware that Uggs actually a little different in person than in pictures. Originally I was going to get the Chestnut pair, but they looked quite orange in the Ugg Store.

After taking off a pair of ankle boots, and putting on my Uggs, my feet feel so light. And even though they are thick, they aren't heavy or uncomfortable at all.

Uggs are in no way inexpensive, at €200 / £160, but there is a cheaper option- BearPaws, though for me, Uggs rise above all.

Why Instagram Was Just A Phase

at 17:31 0 comments
Two bad posts about Instagram. You're probably thinking I don't like it much. I don't really. I used to but it turned out that after a few weeks of posting selfies and reblogging random messages, it gets pretty boring.

The concept is good, sharing pictures and following accounts, but it's very limited in what you can do. For celebrities it's good because you can show fans just daily life in photos and short videos, for average people, not so much.

In Ireland (You'll come to know that most of my rants are based on European issues), a good 60% of teenagers with iPhones were on Instagram at its peak last year, but that number has dwindled a lot.

People possibly thought it was fun to share funny pictures like that... Until snapchat came along and Instagram became nothing more than an I-go-on-it-when-I'm-bored kind of app. For me, I honestly prefer Tumblr. It's like Instagram, only less limited and boring.

R.I.P Instagram- You were fun while you lasted.

{Reading this nearly a year later, 27/12/2014, with a severe Instagram addiction. Whoopsies!}

Animals - Review

at 15:36 0 comments
Martin Garrix- Animals Review

Today I decided that I'd do a music review instead of whatever poo came before this :)

Anyway, after listening to all five minutes and four seconds of the song, I've pretty much decided that it's not so much a song as some track you would dance to half-drunk in Kavos or Ibiza. Animals is only really a mess of drum beats, synth tones, some wood clattering together and someone saying 'Animals' Will.I.am style every few minutes.

Where I live, in Ireland, Animals is in the charts and I really don't know why people see in it... You're much better off listening to real music, one of my personal favourites*- Hey Brother by Avicii. I'm not usually into all that country-ish things but I've really been addicted to it.

*That is actually how you spell it here :D
